VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: it is necessary to place the liquid contained in this flask, inside a crystal storage flask with stopper-scion (for example model TBB010, or in the flasks (model TBB020) that takes the Testing Set D5 model TBA040). Like itīs a liquid very corrosivly and dangerous , we advise to break the stopper of the bottle, inside the same carrier bag that contains it, in order to protect ourselves from possible splashes, and carefully and using appropriate gloves, lower the bag to be able to spill it in the flask where we will store it.
Way of employment:
1st -Scratch the object on a Testing Stone forming a wide and homogeneous outline.
2nd -With the help of the stopper-scion of the crystal flask of storage extend the acid on a part of the outline.
3rd -Watch the reaction attentivly during ten seconds.
4th -For better accuracy, we recommend to test simultaneously on another outline of known metal, for example using a Testing Star (model TBA060).
If the outline alters or forms a brown color, it is indicative of lower carats than the used Testing Acid. If it disappears completely, it indicates that it is not gold.
Attention to the pieces that could be gold or silver plated: we recommend to scratch strongly in some corner with a soft sandpaper, if we need to save the piece. If it is a piece that will be melted, directly scratch it with a File or Needle file, forming the outline with the scratched part on the Testing Stone.
To clean the Testing Stone: use a humid fabric, a soft sandpaper, or use the platinum Testing Acid, if gold or silver was touched before, because this acid will disapear up the remains other metals.
